I have been so busy working on museum stuff that I really haven't added much to my personal collection in the last few years. That said, my Wife has been much happier

.
So, last Wed a friend sent a couple of pics from Facebook Marketplace to me. I looked at them and the price and immediately thought that they were framed posters. But, the seller said they were full size medals in the description. So after an exchange of phone numbers I was able to determine that they were indeed full size medals. Needless to say I was interested as he was asking $120.00 for the pair! I had to drive about an hour and a half but I was able to get both and was quite pleased.
These displays are from the mid 1980s and were made by Warwick Cary in Sydney Australia. I have not been able to find out anything about the Canadian set, but they still carry a very similar Australian set for $2250.00 plus freight! They are all full size replica medals and my understanding is that in the Commonwealth a replica is an unissued replacement medal? Sorry for the glare in the pics but they are encased in glass. Those that know me, may remember that my Son is always trying to get WWI and WWII Canadian items, but this is an expensive thing for a young collector in college. So, while they are not vintage, he now has all of the Canadian Medals he could want! Scott
