Yet another large museum clean out!
« on: February 07, 2020, 12:19:11 AM »
Sorry for the lack of meaningful posts guys... I have been very busy with wrapping up our last museum clean out and sorting what will be kept and what will be sold. To do this we go through and try to research everything. If it has a Michigan story and isn't redundant, we keep it, if not its sold. We are all volunteers so much of this happens in fits and starts.
With most of that coming to an end, I received a call today that we are getting another very large museum collection! It will begin the week of the 18th and is expected to take more than a year! All military and some great rare items. To say I am excited is an understatement as just last week I made contact and received yet another affirmative to a third massive collection in a museum. Not sure when that one will come off, but this promises to be a busy year of growth and adventure!      Scott

Thanks, Scott. I'm sure it exciting and bitter sweet for you. Exciting to see what amazing pieces of history will be transferred, but bitter sweet in cases where the items are coming from a museum that may have, or is in the process of being, closed.

That aside, we always look forward to you sharing the newest acquisitions for your museum!

Thanks guys, I will do my best to get some photos up as items come in.

Nothing bittersweet at all EriK, none of the museums are closing, they are either too inundated with items or have changed focus, which is great for us!    Scott

So this will likely break your heart Carl, but one of the museums has a massive aviation theme! Sadly, due to that, they are only getting rid of their non aviation related items... Still, that is a massive collection as well.    Scott
