New Home, New Display
« on: November 13, 2019, 03:39:03 PM »
Howdy All,
Recently moved into some new digs, and now have a proper office. Slowly putting together my display. Still need to hang some floating shelves and plan on picking up another Detolf. Once I have those, I can start hanging some of the framed items.

Thanks for looking!

Looks great! Love the mix of military, Star Wars, and railroad! If you have not listened to the band Sabaton yet, you should. In particular the song Red Baron. They always get requests to do something Star Wars related, but they stick to military history. However, in Red Baron there is a reference to "red squadron leader" which I thought was kind of funny!

Always looking for 32nd Division items and 13th Armored Division items. Please keep me in mind if you have any.

Thanks, Scott! Much appreciated. Star Wars is my side hobby when I'm in-between finding militaria. Can always find a cool figure to add to the collection.

The railroad items, aside from the hat, belonged to my grandfather. As well as the rattlesnake head bolo slide and turtle, which is actually a neckerchief slide for the Order of the Arrow (BSA). He worked for Reading Railroad for 25 years (photo of him below), and was also a leader with our local Boy Scout Troop for over 40 years (Same troop I went through).

Surprisingly, I've never heard of Sabaton. Will have to check out some more of their stuff, although I'm not into any of the euro metal bands much.
