WWII M1 Captain's Helmet
« on: October 29, 2018, 11:55:50 AM »
Hey All,
Been a while since I shared any resent acquisitions. Acquired this helmet through Craigslist about a month ago. Shell is a fixed loop, Schlueter. Heat stamp is 75A.

Front has painted on Captain's bars, which appear to be period original. A first for me, that is a helmet with painted rank insignia.

Interior of the shell has a laundry # written twice. Haven't had much luck with identification, though.

Still, displays nicely!

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! Craigslist and similar sites have been pretty good to me.
