F117 Nighthawk (Stealth)
« on: August 26, 2018, 05:02:22 PM »
I was going through some old picture discs and found some that I took a few years ago at the "Amigo Air Show" a now defunct air show that used to be held at Biggs Army airfield at Fort Bliss, Texas.. Many types of aircraft from modern to pre WW2 would fly into El Paso for the event. One of the primary exhibits each year and based on mission availability was the F117 Stealth plane that was from the 49th Fighter Wing right up the road at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This was a 90 minute drive by car but by stealth to get the El Paso, it was about 15 minutes or so. We used to see the stealth fly over the city all the time..

Here are some pictures of the stealth in it's heydays...
