The Russian-designed 6B47 helmet is a part of ‘Ratnik’ (‘Warrior’) combat gear.

The new 6B47 helmet is made of composite materials and very lightweight, at only 1 kilogram (1,240 grams fully loaded). Russian helmet has a three-layer structure with a composite shell inside and outside and discrete fabric material in the middle. This structure rejects nearly 90 degrees every shot gets to it.

Russian military helmet 6B47 comes with 3 balaclavas and 2 helmet covers (Russian digital camo and white) and additional inner head connections.

Thank you for posting this helmet,, however I am going to lock this topic. Currently the Allied Militaria Forum is only focusing on Soviet and Russian Militaria during a time when the Soviet Union was Allied with the Western Powers. Given that this helmet falls into the current category and the Russian Federation is not currently aligned with the Western Powers, this topic is closed..

If you have Soviet and Russian Militaria from time periods when the Country fought alongside the Allies, (WW1 and WW2) then we look forward to seeing that type of Militaria from those conflicts posted under the appropriate Russian sections.

A Soviet WW2 era helmet for example or a uniform from the WW2 era would be most appropriate..
