Vintage Auto Plates
« on: March 31, 2018, 08:29:36 PM »
Thought I'd post something totally new.  In Massachusetts, where I live,  you may reactivate a vintage car plate under the "Year Of Manufacture"  MA DMV regulations.  Of course there is an application to fill out, with fee. The plate number cannot be an active number, cannot have been restored and must pass a visual inspection by the DMV.  Here are my two wartime vintage plates, one is on my 1941 Chevy Staff car and the other on my 1942 GPW.

Very cool and a law that makes sense too! You wouldn't find that in Michigan... Scott

Very nice Paul..

I remember when New Hampshire used to have the key chain size license plates.. Do you remember them?? Not sure if they were DMV issued with each set of plates or not.. But I had a few in my toy box..

Same law in Alabama, but the plats can be restored.

I just put these plates on my newly acquired 64 Corvette.

1964 Alabama plates are red with white letters originally.  I had this plate restored using University of Alabama Crimson with white letters.
