I bought a helmet
« on: May 02, 2017, 09:14:38 PM »
Our museum and country for that matter has been caught up in the 100th anniversary of WWI. So, while I have been a collector for more than 40 years, and have owned many rare items like Japanese para helmets and such. I have never owned a WWI French Adrian  :o
Last week I finally decided to buy one as a representation of what the Poilu suffered through in the great war. I have been to Verdun, Paris, the Somme, the Meuse-Argonne etc... but never picked up one of these. I have had 3-4 WWI Belgian helmets and of course US and British and German. So, here is my nicely used infantry Adrian, I hope you all like it!   Scott
Always looking for 32nd Division items and 13th Armored Division items. Please keep me in mind if you have any.

A nice "been there" example Scott...and of course worn by US "Doughboys" until sufficient numbers of the British "Brodie" and your own M1917 became available.
