Interesting photos from a G.I.s WWII album
« on: September 11, 2016, 11:29:39 PM »
These are from the photo album of Joe Simchick of Jackson MI. Joe started out in the 765th Military Police Company at Camp Patrick Henry, then went to the 415th Ord. Evac Company in the ETO. Joe loved the women, and apparently they loved Joe! Here are a few of the pics of women in his book that show uniforms. I think the Womens Auxiliary Police are fairly uncommon to see. I will add more as time permits. I received Joes album, some other small items he had, and a pile of paperwork this week along with 4 other sizeable groupings, so I have a lot to catalogue and sort.     Scott.

As you say Scott...such pics of women in the service are quite uncommon.

The WWII Casanova!

They are some great reference shots. Any annotations on the reverse identifying these women?

Some are identified by name and many by location.   Scott

She is listed as Alaska from West Virginia. It is certainly a distinct first name!  Scott
