George Stevens' famous WW2 "home-movie" From D-Day to Berlin contains some unique colour footage of the US-Soviet link-up at Torgau on the Elbe. Lots of clips can be found on YouTube.

If my father's relative would not have been killed in action in Leipzig, most likely he would have been there at the river link up...
