To be honest, it rarely found its way into the air as intended as it was so sharp-looking. It became more of a Class A item, until the '44 Ike replaced it.

This was the first B-10 I picked up - a Stagg Coat Co example in a size 42. Other than a couple of Depot repairs, it's in decent shape.

This one's a Roughwear in a 42. It was interesting to compare it with Eastman's copy which I owned for a while. Too many differences, so the repro went & the original stayed!

Quite an unusual maker this time - Albert Turner & Company. Also unusual as the shell is constructed from Endzone twill making it about half again as heavy as a standard B-10. This material didn't withstand use too well as you can see on this example (particularly on the "highpoints"). It retains the leather rank patches on both eppaulettes.

Interesting label Rich , I have only seen the reddish brown on white label for the STAGG clothing  :o
Nice jacket which ever way you look at though !!

Can you see the difference between the two twill Rich or do you need to feel the cloth to tell ??

All 3 nice looking B10's , they seem to be less available now , I have only been collecting for 3 years and have noticed the decline in these coming up for sale

Can I play too? :)

My first and favorite B-10.  It was the one that made me decide to complete my fighter pilot.  I think I got it for a steal as it also came with the pilot's 201 file, wings, patches and a bunch of photos.  I was too dumb to know anything about 'groupings' but I know I got it for far less then a B-15 goes for on eBay these days by about half.

Stagg, size 40

Nice insignia on the shoulder

And the best part, it's stenciled and ID'd to the pilot in question.  He flew 51s off Iwo Jima with the 21st FG

This one is a Fitzwell Sportswear.  It's shot, but it's also one I'm going to figure out how to get restored.  It too is ID'd to a fighter pilot.  This one from the 370th FG, 9th AF flying 38s and 51s in the ETO.  I got it along with his Ike Jacket and pants as well as his stenciled bag that shows him with the 402nd FS of the 370th FG.  That it was no doubt in the cockpit of a 38 and 51 over Germany means I have to save it! :)
The pilot in question is standing dead center back row wearing the jacket.

You can barely make out his name on the patch on the front.

The issue is finding cloth that is the same as what's on the worn jacket.  Apparently this one went through the washer post war too.

This photo was in the pocket of the Ike jacket.  His name on the back.  He's in flight late in the war after the 370th transitioned to 51s.
