AMF Advertisement in Military Trader
« on: March 01, 2016, 09:28:04 AM »
In an effort to draw in more members to AMF, and to share the forums philosophy with other collectors, we recently placed an ad in this month's issue of Military Trader Magazine. The issue is out, and I must say the ad looks great!

With that said, a big kudos to the forum's Research Liaison, Rob (Captainofthe7th), for designing the ad!!

Below is the original design, and the printed version.

It looks good.

A shame you could not fit any British & Commonwealth troops on it though, as after all for the first two years of the war we were the allies.

Jerry BB.

Jerry,
We have had other "looks" with other ads, this one is a bit different. Normally the British and Commonwealth are portrayed as a main focus.

I'm happy that we are advertising our positive side, and our philosophy that makes our forum so different!

Yes , it is very important that we get the forums philosophy across to those who dont know us.

Will there be other adverts placed elsewhere do we know ? :)

Here is an ad we ran in January of this year, which incorporates a VC, poppies and a Union Jack flag

I'm glad to hear that it's well received and it's nice to see it in print!

Jerry BB -- my apologies, at the time I couldn't find pictures of hand shaking between the British and other allies  :P

If I have the privilege of working on the next one, I think this would be a great image to use:

Sorry guys, it was merely an observation on my part, not anything else.

great to see you getting the ads out there, and for me this forum ticks all the boxes in what I wanted from an online forum for years, no Nazis.  The love affair with them that seems evident on most other forums that cover the 20th C. can be quite overwhelming.  I used to collect German items along with allied but no more and part of the reason why I stopped was this fawning that you see.  anyway I'll stop now.....
Regards,

Jerry BB.
