Battle of Kursk Pair

Private Stepan K. Demidenko. Machine Gunner in the AA Machine-Gun Company of the 183rd Tank Brigade.

"During the fighting with the German-fascist invaders in July 1943, at which time he served as a machine gunner as part of a gun crew, he shot down an enemy aircraft. He deserves the Medal for Courage."

He continued to serve in the unit as a cook after sustaining three wounds on the 1st Ukrainian Front.

We don't get to see many, if any, Soviet medal grouping son here, so thanks for taking the time to post them. Great to see a direct link with one of the pivotal battles of WW2.

Thanks Tom! I couldn't help but notice the lack of Soviet Militaria in the sub forum as well. Hopefully some of my posts will encourage more people to share. I'll keep them coming :)
