United States Merchant Marine World War Two Victory Medal
« on: February 21, 2016, 04:35:55 PM »
An often neglected area of collecting is the United States Merchant Marine. These brave men transported the equipage of war across the globe for our fighting men and women. Here is the World War Two Victory Medal for the US Merchant Marine.

The Merchant Marine is one service that is often overlooked, and the awards and decorations of the Merchant Marine are often real works of art.

I still own (at least until I find a new home for it) a WWII vintage slot brooch Merchant Marine Meritorious Service Medal in the interesting Merchant Marine decoration case.  This style of case allows for the medals to be "put on display".  Too cool.
