Some Germans as well. The cabinet is completely layered and full of P38s, Lugers, and PPK's with holsters! Mods can remove if inappropriate.   Scott

Here is the final row of the collection showing some British, French and we couldn't leave out about 24 feet of the  Russian navy in WWII... Also shown is my friend Dave, owner of the collection. Scott

So, I hope you all enjoyed the content of this collection. My pictures are unable to do it justice and certainly don't show it all. I don't even have pictures of an entire wall of a U-boat captains grouping, or the North Korean items, and much much more. My ulterior motive for posting these is to perhaps illustrate a point often forgotten by many of the so called big name collector/dealers. That is, that Dave doesn't do many shows, he isn't out posting away on forums telling everyone how much he knows and why, and he collects what he truly enjoys. I consider myself a middle class American. I have a fairly new house on an acre of land and it is about 2500 square feet without the basement included. I live in a community that is small, but considered a suburb of Ann Arbor. Dave lives a in a much older, smaller unassuming house, in a fairly big city. He is not a big business exec or wealthy by any means. Yet in comparison to me, he has amassed a major fortune in his collection. So, great hope for those that are out there plugging away and buying what they love. As for the so called big name collectors and dealers, just remember that there are lot's of Dave's out there. They don't boast and they don't post, they just collect what they love and share it in person with those who express an interest. I am sure that a few might be able to deduce who Dave is in the collecting world as he does have a connection. But it isn't through his area of collecting or writing. Just a small related field.   I will leave it at that and hope that you all enjoyed the pics. I will be sure to take more when I visit again soon.  Scott

I so much enjoyed looking at his loot.  You just never know what a person has hidden away, like your friends collection to the Panther tank in the guys yard in Germany.

On a side note.  Does anyone know how to insure a collection?
