WW2 Civil Defense First Aid patch

Here is a nice example of a WW2 era Civil Defense First Aid qualified patch. There are several versions of this insignia which were sewn to armbands and sleeves of shirts. This example is made of cotton twill with a cheesecloth mesh backing.

Collecting Civil Defense items is not as common as collecting items from Military Organizations that fought the war overseas, so the availability of civil defense items is somewhat greater.
