"SWEETHEART" ARMY AIR CORPS PICTURE LOCKET BROACH
« on: March 26, 2014, 02:56:33 PM »
Similar to the Wife sweetheart locket is this nice example of a mother of pearl 14k gold plated locket. Many differenent versions of this broach/pin were made. Some had branches of service embossed on the hearts and others had unit insignia such as the 4th Army on the "Wife" example.  These were purchased in many of the Base Exchanges and many of these would be found in the local 5 and dime stores, Woolworths, and other stores located just outside military installations.

Smitty,

Very nice locket. Thanks for showing this one.  I have seen a "mother" one but not a "sweetheart" one.

All three the same design, will you get an entire set?

If I remember correctly I did purchase the entire set, at least the three in the light blue boxes. They also had a tag on the box that they came from a store in El Paso
