17th Airborne M1942 jump jacket and trousers
« on: September 14, 2014, 03:40:56 AM »
What's everybody's opinion on whether this jump jacket and trousers from the 17th Airborne was worth the $1925 that it went for on Ebay last night?

Cheers,
Neil.

Looks good to me - any provenance or laundry markings on it?

Was it named? I would think if everything was legit, that it is not to far out there for a nice set.

I dont keep up with the market on M42s but i dont think it was all that bad of a price, if you were trying to put together a manequin im guessing the jacket and pants would normally go for $700-$900 each?...and the airborne cap has got to be worth $100-$200ish....maybe a few hundred over but instant display for someone and now all they need are jump boots.....mike

I think that is a very fair price. That is a complete set, jump jacket and trousers.. I would have purchased it for that price..

As the Sgt, put it, it's worth the sum of it's parts.

Is it 17th A/B ? Who knows ?

Now if there was some reliable documentation it might have brought more.
