TYPE B8 BACK TYPE PARACHUTE (PROJECT)
« on: December 10, 2016, 03:16:50 AM »
I have had this Type B8 for a couple of months , it did and still does require some work , but it should give me something to do over the winter months .

When i got this  ,it had the incorrect Rip cord which has now been changed for the correct one , I thought that was going to be the hard part in locating , but no, quickly and relatively easy find . The hard part now is to find the correct size bungees that open the pack when the rip cord is pulled .

There is also some repair stitching to do ,but again i need to find the correct cotton/cord/twine ??

This particular example is quite indicative of the later war models of the  B8 . There was a short supply of these and they used the SEAT TYPE harness and rigger made OD panels which can be seen quite clearly in the images

If anyone can help in locating the parts/items that im looking for ,that would be very gratefully received
