Women's Air Raid Defense WARD wings from a Pearl Harbor Survivor

A few days ago I posted in the topic "When the family comes calling". Well it happened to me last year and I know I did the right thing by returning the wings to the family but I still really feel remorseful about giving them back. I was able to compromise with the family and I was able to keep the smaller set of WARD wings and a large portion of the other items, but there is a place missing now for the larger set of wings in the collection. I have been actively searching for a replacement set of the larger wings and will continue to search for them until I find a pair. Just recently Erik told me he had a pair and that he sold them, not knowing what they were.

What an incredible story, thank you for sharing.

I can understand the difficulty, but I for one respect the fact that you returned them to the family. Not much I know, but just my two cents.....

Good luck finding a replacement full size set.
