Excellent pictures Ian! I think it would be quite an experience to walk among these items from an ancient battlefield. What forms would dash through the minds eye?

In my mind i think its sad to see this.  I followed a post awhile ago about the Soviets just leaving the dead lay where they fell in the forests outside of St. Petersburg and how some people are going into the forest to recover the remains and honor them.

There's still a ton of WW2 relics out there in the vastness of the steps just waiting to be recovered...wrecked planes in forests and intact tanks in bogs and swamps. Take a look at this....just one of several such vids on YouTube.

That tank appears mint! What a great find, and I didn't even know that the Russians cared about the recovery effort of such artifacts.

That's some quite moving imagery . incredible though !
Looking for any British/commonwealth and USAAF/USN aviation headgear 1939-45.
 Flight Helmets O2masks Goggles communications gear or spate parts .
