Patent Pending is indeed earlier.
Bancroft filed their patent application 12 May 1943.
The US Patent Office approved it on 13 February 1945 and assigned it the patent number 2369275.

Great info Roy !! Thankyou !
This has laid to rest now any doubts as to which way round the "Pat Pending" was approved and the patent number .

I had seen a video on YouTube about a" seminar " which had a quite detailed analysis regarding "crushers"  production dates etc . But can I find it again ?? Not on your nelly can I !!  >:(

Mind if I play too?

My Flighter to start.  I'm a sucker for wayward, nearly dead stuff that I hope can be saved.

After Pete Williams at Society Brand Hat Company got done with the restoration.  It was literally falling apart and he made it a gem again.

Yes it is.  It had the remnants of a back strap too when I got the wreck so I think it was a fairly early one.
