Thank you, Gentlemen!
When I got into collecting Militaria, I thought this was the type of thing that we would collect. Obviously, I was mistaken, but when this came along, I simple had to have it as a show stopper of what historical items are still out there that belong to the collecting world.

I am proud to own it, and for it to be in a place of learning and remembrance.

JS

Outstanding item and great naration.I hadnt known or heard of this. What a rare gen indeed. As stated on so many levels a rare and historic piece.

We have a model of a POW Camp at a area museum that was built and donated by the man who was imprisoned there after capture as well as a small area museum here with artifacts from german prisioners that were here during the war.

I cant fathom how this camp beingused as a sub-camp during the war was then used to house displaced persons.I cant imagine what these people felt or how depressing and dismal it was for them. Many whom no doubt were survivors of other camps only to be reminded daily by living in a previous camp.

Thanks for posting

My wish is that one day this model finds it's proper place in history.

Bumping this, as it's an amazing piece. The detail is exceptional.

Well done on your part, JS, by lending this out for younger generations to learn from.
