I don't collect Airborne but if I did this would certainly be one of my holy grails!  Speaking of holy....Holy Smokes what a grouping!

Thanks, Carl! Not sure how it fits into his service but it was with the group. Likely traded with another serviceman.

I collected comic books prior to Militaria, so am very familiar with ephemera preservation. I used UltraPro Platinum 8 1/2 x 11 sleeves. UV resistant and acid free.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen! I'm still reeling from this group, despite picking it up about a month ago. Should keep me busy for awhile.

I also just sent a request to Geoff with Golden Arrow. While I have a good amount of info already, I figured it wouldn't hurt to see what else may be at the Archives or NPRC.

1 nylon parachute lead

2 silk parachutes. One is for the most part complete (pictured below - small section cut out), the other has several large sections cut from it, but are still present (not pictured). 2nd photo shows close-up of material and construction.
