And for posterity, Robert's trunk. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit it in my car!

Wow! Looks like you hit the jackpot there Eric! WAC stuff is comparatively scarce and therefore very desirable. That's a helluva grouping which dedicated WAC collectors would surely kill for. Great find...well done!

Thanks, Ian! Yeah, I really got lucky with this group. The only letdown was the seller said there were letters and photos from their service that were sadly discarded during the house clean out.  :'(

Great grouping and how cool that she was in the Pacific and he in the Mediterranean/Europe. Your final research paperwork should prove an interesting read to say the least.   Congrats! Scott.
Always looking for 32nd Division items and 13th Armored Division items. Please keep me in mind if you have any.

Thanks, Scott!

I did receive Margaret's file; still waiting on Robert's.

Per the documents, Margaret was called up from the reserves to active duty 22 March 1944 and reported to Drew Field.

In 1946, she was attached to the 804th MAES, ending her service with the 830th MAES.

Paperwork is a bit confusing regarding her overseas service and if I'm reading it correctly, per the pay voucher, she was in Australia by April of 1944. Maybe someone can chime in and assist with deciphering.

One interesting tidbit is it identifies Robert Cass in the pay voucher, who would eventualy become her husband. Geoff is still working on his file.

In any case, for posterity, here are the documents...

While doing some additional research on my own, it appears some other items belonging to Margaret surfaced on eBay back in 2011. Included were several other uniforms (hospital uniforms), her painted trunk and a very nice 830th MAES patch.

The uniforms were sold back in 2011 as was the patch. The patch again resurfaced in April of this year and was sold. Photo of the patch below in the event anyone knows it's whereabouts.

As for the painted trunk, the original ebay seller still has it. I've requested photos however no response thus far...

Thought I would update this thread with some more content found for this group.

Pickers I have been working with on another grouping, assisted in the cleanout of Margaret's estate.

Most of the items they had belonging to Margaret were sold, however they had two of her hospital uniforms that had not, mainly due to some slight damage. They gave them to me and I was happy to take them, especially since one is named.

They also have Margaret's painted trunk. Once the dust settles on the other grouping, I'm going to make an offer on it.
