MISC ITEMS / Birthday Present!

This arrived at my place today.  Two days after my actual birthday but close enough.  Actually it's a Happy Birthday to Me present.  It's  a 1942 GPW Jeep made by Ford not Willy's.  The Ford made jeeps are a little harder to find than the Willy's.  Fully restored (with almost 100% original parts), and road ready.  Been a "Bucket List" item for quite a while.  Thanks for looking.

With many thanks to Rakkasan187, who looked at the photo of this infantryman and told me what all the stuff hanging off his rucksack was.  Our next door neighbor back in Chicagoland was a Sgt. in a mortar platoon the 196th Light Infantry Battalion.  The Chargers were one of the last ground units in Viet Nam in June 1972.  Leigh --since you told me that the box on the top probably held the mortar sight, I made an itty-bitty M81 case to put in Clint's ruck. The Falcon was the lead ship in the attempt to rescue the S-4, which went down with all hands off Provincetown, MA in December 1927.
