Looks like a great military vehicle show!  Too bad a trip to Germany (or Switzerland) is not in the cards for this year.  IF I were able to go here would be my entries.

Hi Phill,
Good observation.I had overlooked that.If my hunch is correct and it is Middle Eastern made,it could be that the individual pieces were made/sourced by different makers and initially sold that way,or that it was pieced together by someone at a later date.I do notice that the backings of the two pieces are similar, but not exactly the same.

Chris,

Thank you for the kind and humbling words...

There are some very good books about the Battle of Berlin from the German perspective as well as the overall big picture...

Another excellent book is Tony Le Tissier's book "With our backs to Berlin".. First hand accounts from SS Soldiers, Wehrmacht, civilians in the City during the battle.. I would recommend this book as well if interested in the Battle For Berlin...

HOMEFRONT AND THE WAR EFFORT / A POW Made picture frame
« Last post by ScottG on June 10, 2018, 10:53:10 PM »
This was brought in by the niece of a WWII EPW Guard, SGT. Nelson Loar. I have his grouping posted in the named groupings section here. She believed that a German POW made the frame for Loar out of matchsticks. Its pretty neat and it contains a sort of religious story about a card game.  Scott.
