Aden-a forgotten war.
« on: October 30, 2015, 02:41:49 PM »
During the 1960's British forces fought a small, sometimes bitter and now largely forgotten war in Aden and the Radfan. Many Brits over a certain age will recall press coverage of the 1st Bn, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders-led by their commander Colonel Colin Mitchell-as they fought what has sometimes been called "The last battle of the British Empire".

Although I don't actively collect items from this conflict, I was wondering if anyone here does?.

Matt.

Doesn't the movie "The Killer Elite" with DeNiro and Statham have something to do with Aden, or Oman and the SAS? Its been a while, but I remember it being a good watch and that It centered around British involvement in that region in the 70s.  Scott
