Is this an interwar service cap?
« on: September 08, 2017, 04:08:29 PM »
This was left at the museum yesterday and I think it is an interwar period service cap. The wool is tan instead of the green/brown that you usually see and the overall construction differs somewhat from a WWII era hat. I hope the tan shows well in these pics, but perhaps someone out there has more knowledge on these than I? Any opinions welcome and encouraged!   Thanks, Scott.

My thoughts as well Ian, the color is really different. The problem is, you just don't see a lot from that era. Small military and of course vastly overshadowed by WWII.  Scott

I would agree. The thicker visor is usually an indicator.
