Flying legends p51's incidents

Just a quick note to let you know that 2 more P51's have been involved in 2 seperate incidents .
Firstly  "BERLIN EXPRESS" suffered a shattered canopy .
 [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
 Then "Miss Velma" had to make an emegency crash landing not far from the airfield at Duxford .
A very good friend of mine was on the scene within minutes having to take photos for the authorities .

Always looking for quality condition USAAF stationary,ephemera,equipment and clothing.
Starting to look for the harder to find items e.g. survival kits and items also woukd like to add a complete "Gibson Girl " set up

Looking very worse for wear !!
Miss Velma arriving back at Duxford

Great pics Carl...especially the freeze-frame of the shattered canopy. Sad to see these old warbirds get damaged like that but glad that their pilots walked away! I suppose they'll assess the damage to Miss Velma to see if she can be made airworthy again?

Unfortunately Ian i cant take credit for the photos , but i will pass on any information i can get from my "man in the know "
